Connecticut has all four seasons. Spring is beautiful with everything in blossom and turning green. Summer is great with the sun warming everything and swimming and boating. Fall is brisk and the trees turn all colors. Then there is winter which is OK for a month (Christmas) or so but it keeps on staying around and it gets cold and snowy and that's why we go to Florida for February and March. When we get back it will be Spring!!
We are all packed and will leave this Saturday. The kayaks and bikes are loaded, I got my tools for any problems, fishing gear, snorkeling gear, paperbacks to read, and even a screenroom if the bugs get bad. Polly has taken all her clothes - heavy winter stuff in case it's cold, dress-up stuff in case we go out and plenty of summer stuff for the beach - I guess I didn't tell her that they have laundromats in Florida. I'm taking 2 pair of shorts and some tee shirts.
